Singing Lessons

Emma Hughes, who is currently Head of Music and Singing at London Vocational Ballet School in London, is our resident singing teacher and offers both singing and piano lessons at the West London School of Dance. Emma has a wealth of experience working with students of all ages and abilities, with several of her students have performed lead roles in the West End. She is happy and able to adapt her teaching to the individual learning aspirations of her students, whether these are simply playing/singing for enjoyment and improvement, developing confidence in performing, working towards ABRSM / Trinity graded exams, or with the goal of becoming a professional performer.
Lessons are £25 for 30 minutes or £50 for an hour.

Drama Lessons
Judi Swinney, Head of Drama at London Vocational Ballet School offers private lessons in Acting and Performance for 5-16 year olds at our building on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons.
These lessons will be tailored to each child's needs and goals - whether they want to gain in confidence, develop performance skills, prepare for auditions or simply have fun doing something they love. If students would like to use these lessons to gain audition experience and qualifications, Ms Swinney will prepare them for LAMDA examinations in Acting and Performance. Ms Swinney has a wealth of experience and expertise preparing students for LAMDA examinations, which are recognised by Ofqual and accredited to the Qualifications and Credit Framework, meaning that they accrue points which build towards UCAS scores.
LAMDA qualifications are designed to improve communication and interpretative skills and develop self-confidence, physical presence and a strong speaking voice. They will engage with character and situation and further develop their love of literature, poetry and drama, thus improving their ability to read easily, fluently and with good understanding, whilst learning to memorise and recall information.
Classes can be individual, in pairs, or small groups (maximum 5 students). Each lesson will last 30 minutes and cost £20 for individuals, £25 for pairs and £30 for small groups (10 lessons per term, payable in advance). As this is a new venture, Judi Swinney is offering a free 'taster' session to WLSD students, after which you can decide whether to book for the rest of the term.
Please contact Judi Swinney by clicking here or via the school office if you are interested in booking a taster session.
